On Wednesday 9/18/2024 the Fife WA service center replaced my (working fine) wiper motor for the recall. Yesterday evening (Thursday) | tried to use the wiper with the fluid-squirt and the wiper only went part way up, then it went all the way off the side. When the motor was replaced maybe something wasn't tightened enough? But also both side mirrors pointed incorrectly at this same time. That was weird since it was simultaneous.

Is this something I could fix myself? I’ve heard there is a DYI manual somewhere.

Did you contact the SC about this? Someone higher up, really needs to know about this issue. I would personally contact the SC and tell/show them what happened.

I’m getting my motor (working fine currently) and Sail Appliques replaced. I will definitely be testing my wiper thoroughly before I leave the SC. Which, they should have done!

First - I'm not a troll. Second - I had my wiper recall performed by Seattle SC 3 weeks ago and now it's more erratic than it EVER was before the replacement. Third - Love seeing fellow CTOC/WA folks posting here. I see a few others driving around my neck of the woods, significantly more during the last 3 weeks or so. Another CT made it home a short block and a half from my house last week, which is also cool. Hope to get some serious bruh time with the guy some day. Fourth - Since you are in Washington, I assume you took delivery months and months and months ago? Drove mine home on May 31 and still rocking the paper plates. Saw an article RE 250k license plate back log at Walla Walla Corrections. With all the paper plates I've seen all around the region, I figure Santa will toss mine down the chimney come Xmas, but don't have high hopes (not that it matters).

I don't know any fix for this, but do hope it gets resolved by Fife SC soon, or via DIY should you feel so inclined. If it's the latter, please follow-up post your findings. Good luck!

Now to the main point of my post...someone needed to address the wonderfully captured limp wiper hanging off the side of the truck. Not hating on the truck, or poking fun at anyone...I just couldn't help myself.

That’s my CT. I certainly made fun of the limpness. But also pointed out the length.

Agree. I had my (working great) wiper motor replaced on Oct. 4th. Did a cursory check and it seemed fine. However, driving to work this morning with all that rain and discovered it's not working correctly. Auto does not work at all and all other settings are the same speed. Also, it only moves for 10 cycles then stops working. Selecting another speed it will move for another 10 cycles then stop working again.

Did you find out what caused this?? Just had all my service recall stuff completed last week and today it rained. I have exact same problem you did. 10 wipes and it stops. Have to push button again to cycle it. The orignal wiper worked just fine. Nearest service center is a 2.5 hour drive to get there....

A few days prior to my service appointment it cleared itself. I did have a software update. Not sure if it was a reinstall of previous update or new update. But I would try that and see if it resolves your issue.

Update: Tesla sent a mobile repair unit to me. He thinks the service center skipped a step and didn't properly update the software. He updated it and the wipers seem to work fine again.
