finally, i can ask this here: does the vault closed with a surron laid down on its side and the bars turned?

I've got a Surron Light Bee X with riser bars and intend on seeing if it will fit this way when I get a chance. I was able to fit my 29/27.5 mixed wheel e-mountain bike inside the bed with the tonneau closed by laying it on its side with the bars turned. Using tie-down straps while upright would definitely be more convenient, but would be nice to be able to keep it locked inside the vault and not take a hit to range when freeway traveling.

I apologize for the late reply. You can fold it up and store it inside the vault, and you can still close the vault. Storing the Ultra Bee and Surron vertically shouldn’t be a problem. If you want to store them horizontally, you can measure the dimensions. The width of our folded ladder is 15 inches.

Okay! I finally got around to riding my Surron again and took it for a trail ride for the 1st time since getting my Cybertruck. Was able to easily fit it in the bed on its side with the bars turned and close the tonneau. Surron wheels are much smaller diameter, so there's even more leftover floor space inside the bed compared to when I do the same with my MTB.

Re: the Ultra Bee... the Ultra has a 120mm (4.72") longer wheelbase than the LBX, so maaybe you could squeeze an Ultra Bee in there the same way? But the Ultra is also much taller, so it seems like you might run out of room.
