Yesterday was my delivery day. Finally, it is the end of my journey. I can really say this is the best car I have ever driven in my entire life. I hope to see you on the road any time soon. Good luck all.

Hello all,

After 4 years, 4 + months, I finally picked up my FS Cybertruck AWD (Made just 15 days ago) yesterday at Tesla's Princeton/ Lawrenceville location. I want to share some of my experience with the fellow NJ folks here:

1. CT is HUGE! Be prepared to have it squeezed into your standard garage. Yes, I knew the dimensions, I did mark up/ measurement and I even went to Tesla NYC standing few feet away from the prototype 2 years ago... but, when I saw it, wow, it is huge and I like it... (the above comment is strictly about my CT, not on other adult blogs, please keep it clean here.. ?).

2. The delivery went well, yesterday was the end of Q1, there were literally 10 deliveries of other models happening while I was there. My family was warmly greeted by the staff and a dedicated advisor that only deals with the delivery of CT.

3. The advisor gave us the "surprise" roll out with special lighting, smoke effect. He also prepared us by asking "Some visitors and bystanders will have some crazy reaction, I will handle them for you, I want you to enjoy the delivery process, after all, you waited 4 plus years for it..." I tell you what, I feel the genuine support from him right there.

4. The advisor did ask me to press the "accept" button quickly, well, I told him I will do that once I have an opportunity to walk through my new CT inside the roped off area.

5. The advisor then spent 1 hour with me in the CT to go over EVERYTHING (every button, every menu item, feature, every piece paper) with me one by one. Probably 30 people went into the roped off area, attempted to take pictures, climb into my CT while I was sitting there. The advisor did a great job by exiting the tutorial session and redirecting them.

6. The overall condition of my CT appears to be excellent. Even pannel gap, everything is mostly mounted correctly with the right space. The stainless steel appears to be even toned, no mismatched color/ grain/ pattern.

7. Here are few things worth to point out: I found 4 tiny scratches on the driver side (on door frame, and above the bed). A slight fitment gap, causing the front passenger door trim piece (connecting the front fender, to the very leading edge of the frunk) sits about 2mm above the original position, it makes that trim piece protrude/ edge up compared to the driver side.

8. First drive home was smooth as butter in chill mode. Zero issue, pure joy there. However, we all have to re-learn how to drive as Control-by-wire does take time to get use to, I find myself over correcting on turns. I am new to one paddle driving, but very manageable. I suggest Tesla to bring back the "normal" paddle driving experience as people like me drive 3 other vehicles for work, wife and family trip. Having a traditional paddle control will ensure my brain keep a consistent driving experience especially FSD is not available yet. I don't know why Tesla would take that off as an "option".

9. Met some overly friendly drivers on the road, one was getting a bit too close and cross the dash line impleading my line of traffic while did that with a huge smile. I guess you really can't get mad in that situation.

10. Barely fitted inside my slightly larger 2 car garage, with just enough room to move around. Time to declutter!

Cheers,

BestNJ

amazing to read and also be so close to this. My pickup location as well. What did you do between vin assignment and delivery to find out your delivery date. I’ve got to sell my jeep and also add a sub panel to my garage’s already dedicated 100 amp line that is currently hard wired to one charger for my model 3. How can I get info or pin them down or is there no way but to wait for the app to let me schedule?
