Anyone take delivery in Paramus? How long was delivery scheduled from VIN? I’m at 15 days. TIA

Hi all - I insured my CT in NJ with GEICO at the beginning of May. The original premium was $882.90 for six months. However, my renewal period begins on 06/08/2024 and GEICO increased the premium to $2,167.87, which is absolutely ridiculous.

Which insurance company should I try to lower the premium?

I have a VIN but no delivery. Supposedly it’s in transit but I can’t imagine it takes that long from Austin to NJ.

@hbflorida my quote is through NJM and it’s $1300 but I have my home insurance with them as well

I have geico as well and my premium only increase an additional $600. They are also covering my Model X

Been loving the Cybertruck however unfortunately when I went to get in the car today I received the dreaded electrical error warning. Tells me to get it serviced soon. Just hit 650 miles.

I scheduled an appointment for early June, hopefully they order parts ahead of time. I saw on the forum they are swapping out a harness, not sure if my problem is the same.

Alert: Seat Heat and Powered Frunk functions limited/Electrical issue - Schedule service soon.

My NJM policy is about $2300 a year for the Cybertruck. Based on the $1400 ish each a year for my other two vehicles that are worth well below half the value I’m ok with it I guess.

My delivery will be in Paramus, whenever the heck it gets here. Originally was supposed to be here two weeks ago, then I came to find out it’s still sitting in a Texas railyard when I asked them to ping the truck. My suggestion is don’t get excited when you get a VIN assigned because it could take five weeks or longer from that date before you see it.

Well boys looks like the day has finally come for Cyberbeast 12/28 orders in NJ, just received my VIN

That’s nice to hear you got a VIN, but don’t get too excited. I got my VIN five weeks ago, and the truck is still sitting in a railyard in Texas.

Like an idiot, I went ahead and completed all my steps because they told me the truck was being delivered two weeks ago. They set up an appointment for a Wed, and the day before, the SC canceled it because they realized the truck was still sitting in Texas.

I don’t believe it is the fault of the local SC. They probably have zero control over when trucks get delivered to SC’s.

The problem is with TX and getting them from TX to NJ on rail cars. Tesla needs to offer the option of direct shipment on trucks as I would be willing to pay a premium for that especially since it’s now been five weeks since my first car payment is due shortly and I don’t even have the vehicle.

OK, good to know. Mine went away a few days later. I have an appointment scheduled to fix some panels and will see what they say after they run diagnostics.

Where is your pickup? Mine is supposedly in Paramus. I'm on day 24 after receiving VIN. I received a text on Wednesday that it is still in "transit". Hopefully not "in transit" in an Austin lot.
