Hi,

I'm new on the Forum and took delivery of a CT Foundation dual last week. I was wondering what everyone is doing with the carpet mats since the "all weather mats" are included in the Foundation series.
Also, I have a 30 amp rv outlet at a home that I could use for "topping" off the battery when I arrive there. I plan to install the included Universal Charger at the other house for primary Level 2 charging. Any thoughts or suggestions about this? I found an adapter on line that automatically limits the charge rate to 24v for the 30 amp receptacle.
One other question: Is anyone using the sunscreen that comes with the F package. I unfolded it (actually it unfolded itself!) and am not sure it I need to install it. Thoughts?

Thanks!

I'll start with the bottom. I've never even unfolded my sunscreen, no you don't need it if you don't want to use it.

The 30A RV circuit, I'm assuming is a what is called a TT plug.

It is not directly supported by the Tesla Mobile Connector, but there is a third party selling the correct adapter for it.
DO NOT USE any other adapter other than the one that plugs directly into the Mobile Adapter and looks similar to the other two in the package.

An often-missed detail of the TT adapter is that it is only 120V. You may be getting only 5 mph charging with it. For most folks, that's 60 miles in 12 hours and easily handles the average American commute.

Don't get something like

Mats, use the one that you like, store the others. Is it a work truck with dirty boots or designer shoes?

Thanks for the good info. I was wondering if anyone is putting the carpet floor mats underneath the all-weather mats. Haven't tried that, but I'm guessing they would fit very well.

Also, I have received an email or anything from Tesla regarding when I will be receiving the Universal Charging station that is included in the Foundation package. How long did it take for others to receive theirs?

Tks

I installed the weather tech at the delivery before coming home. I thought I didn’t get the carpet mats. I think they are under the weather tech. I didn’t want to wait on Tesla for their decision on power share and universal charger. I went with Tesla charger since I only own ct to charge at home. I leave it plugged in when I get home and it’s set to top off to 80% during non peak hours. I am thinking to install the sunscreen soon just to keep the cabin cooler. I don’t have anyone really in the back to look up and go wow.
