Do these bins have grooves that nest into the truck bed allowing them to only slide front to back like the ones Tesla sells?
Also, are they somewhat waterproof(ish)?
Thank you so much for your comment! This bin is waterproof and has some ridges at the bottom, though it might not have the same custom grooves as the official one. We’ll definitely work on improving that. Any updates will be shared here with everyone! ??

I currently put a large bin from Costco in my bed. The biggest concern I had is it moves when I brake. What is the best solution to prevent them move around while I can still easily slide it out to reach?
Thank you so much for your comment! Your concern is definitely valid. Maybe you could try pairing it with this cargo net? ?️

Great start, here's a few more ideas to go with the bins:
  1. Can you sit on these without issue? Foldable sometimes comes with structural instability. @Cyberus mentioned this already
  2. The grooves in the bed/vault are there to prevent things from easily sliding from side to side. Do these bins take advantage of that when there's only 1 or 2 in the vault? mentioned by @The Tesla Guy
  3. Vault bins are only as useful as they are accessible. The back of the vault is hard to get to and they may be packed in. What are you doing to make these useful beyond simply fitting in the vault nicely and being collapsible?
    1. for example, something in the back of the bed could be accessed using a slide system. This idea might be a little beyond this product, but just something to think about!
  4. Do I have to find a place for the lid if I open them up? Extra part is a pain. If they're designed to only exist in that spot, and never leave the vault, then a hinging lid might be a better choice. If they're designed to leave the bed (it appears to be the case due to the handles), then how are they useful outside of the bed; in other words, what features does it have that makes me WANT to pull them out? Can I take them out of the vault and use them for more than just being a "bin"?
    1. I highly recommend this kind of an idea: https://www.frontrunneroutfitters.com/en/us/wolf-pack-pro.html video:
      credit to trailnewbie!
4x 3"x1" pine lumber sections and the bins turn in to an easy camp table. I'd buy these in the listed price range if they came ready to turn into camp tables, even simple ones.
    2. What about having boxes with exterior features like, molle panels on them? Here's one that has built in seats (lol)! https://melipron.com/products/melipron-mgs-cargo-case
    3. Are they waterproof? Why not?

Personally, I don't find the collapsible feature alone very useful. When would I want to collapse them and I won't be able to just take them out? Obviously you can't put ALL of these ideas into one box, but as they stand currently, the extra utility of these bins appears insufficient for the price you've set.

Great start, though! Keep at it!
Thank you for your comment and for being so active in the Teslaunch community! Yes, I’ve already tried sitting on it, and the stability is solid—an adult can sit on it without any issues. As for the grooves, the bottom does have some ridges, but they’re not as specifically designed for the Cybertruck as Tesla’s official grooves. We might consider adding some anti-slip pads underneath or pairing it with a cargo net for added stability. The idea of making it easier to access is definitely something worth thinking about—maybe we could add a handle to pull it out more easily? As for a movable bed storage system, that’s something we aren’t able to implement just yet.

Thank you so much for your fantastic ideas and suggestions! The bin is made from waterproof material. Regarding the folding feature, it’s true that different people have different needs—some owners might want to store it away when not in use, while others, like you, might not need that function. We’re incredibly grateful for your insights and suggestions, and for your active participation in the Teslaunch community! We hope to develop more products that truly meet the needs of Cybertruck owners, but it may take some time. Thanks again for your patience and valuable input! ??

So it's 2" high when folded down, but 1.24" high when deployed? Hmmm...proofreading, anyone?
Thank you for your comment! Yes, you can refer to this image—these are the measurements we took! ??

Are the tops affixed, so they can't fly off?
It’s not fixed in place, but we recommend using it with this cargo net. ?️?

The easiest solution, but not the cheapest, would be a vault divider. You could choose the limit the movement of your Costco bin to the back or the front of the vault.

I have one and love it for smaller things that I don’t need the rest of the vault for. Everything is within arms reach and doesn’t slide around or move.
Thank you for your comment! That’s definitely a good option, but our bin is specifically designed to fit three side by side in the vault, so the dimensions are just right. Other boxes might not fit three in a row. If you only need one, other options might work, but if you need multiple, our box is a great choice. Thanks so much! ??
