Is there a forward camera lense protector out yet?

I owned a few Lexus vehicles with a similar front camera. My solution has been to take painters tape, apply it to the camera, and shade the outline and shape with a fat pencil.

Then you can use that as a stencil or pattern to cut out a circle shape out of PPF. Make sure to make the actual circle smaller. You can use a mix of 1 part IPA and 9 parts water to make a solution that will get the film to stick quickly.

I've put this on my LX, MME, and a previously owned GX. I also covered my Lexus emblem that is responsible for radar cruise with the XPEL film and there was no degradation in performance.

You can't beat physics, so the image will be affected, but I honestly can't tell the difference on my lower res front cameras. My understanding is that this camera is NOT used for FSD.

I also know that Tesla probably does NOT want you putting any films or chemicals on the camera, but I can tell you living with a spot like that on my GX was so upsetting, I always saw that black spot on the image when parking.

I also wonder if the aftermarket can make a lens guard like these made for action cameras:

I can tell you for now, my XPEL-cut-into-a-circle shape has been working fine on my LX, MME, previously owned GX.

I also wonder if this part is common for our vehicles and down the line could you replace it.

Know you have empathy from an internet stranger, I thought I was the only one with bad luck enough to get a rock chip right there. I hope in your case the damage doesn't show up on the image like it did in my GX.

Yes thought of that already, the curvature of the lense doesn't allow it. I would suggest a molded lense cap.

Tried a few 360 camera lens protectors out there and this is by far the best. Still on the large side but can actually seal around the camera, not seeing any water intrusion after recent SoCal rainstorm. $17+tax for pack of 2.
