I’ve racked up some more unwanted road warrior points hitting some road debris on California’s I-15, the states road are really going down hill. It damaged my left rear lower fairing, breaking some of the plastic fasteners and pulling out a bolt. Looks like a replacement if I knew what I was doing… any advice?

If you want to replace it yourself through Tesla OEM (super easy) you can open a ticket using the app and explain the exact part number you need from the catalog. I ordered one not too long ago and I think it was like $40 for the set?

Autopilot loves to hit road debris, if you see something in the road take over IMMEDIATELY it will run over any tire, cooler, branch, etc it sees.
Have broken two of those rear fairings on the highway,at some point Tesla will have to release a new part as they break to often to be sustainable.

Tesla roadside will do this for you at your house for under $50.

Better to break the $15 rear fairing than the $270 rocker cover. $40 vs $1200 for the fronts.
More flex would reduce breakage as long as it doesn't catch on the tire.

I also had this happen on my drivers side. FSD went over a piece of tire on the highway. For me it just popped back in with a little persuasion.

Yup, these robotaxies in Austin are not going to make it if they can't learn how to dodge tires, pieces of concrete and other road debris. Hope they can get it figured out so we can relax a bit more on FSD and ya know have the car drive us like it was supposed to be 3-4 years ago.
