Dunno. I’ve never used a supercharger.

I have always had that problem... Seems it likes to 'hug' the left side of the parking space which means the cable from the SuperCharger is just a couple of inches short... I usually just 'repark' (if letting it park) and back up about 6 inches and it's fine... Or, if I am parking, when it shows 'stop', I back up a few more inches... The V4 chargers have longer cables and don't have as much of an issue...

Did the same thing for me today. Had to get back in and edge back another foot.

Everyone's Cheering 14.1.7 - Me, not so much.

The biggest issue I have with FSD is still the same. Unmarked country roads.

I live in a rural area in Ohio but not that far from the city. So, I get to drive on well-marked city streets and freeways and unmarked township roads. FSD has done well in the urban areas and on the freeways. However, there’s been no improvement with the dangers on country roads. CT hogs the road when it has no center line (see video). This is fine when the view ahead is long and clear. Unfortunately, we have lots of humps, or rises, that hide oncoming traffic and other objects like farm equipment and Amish buggies. You can’t just barrel over these humps and not expect a surprise on the other side. Safety dictates slowing down, staying way right, and praying. FSD does none of these. So, no FSD on unmarked roads.

Other things I’ve noticed with 14.1.7:

  • Much more sensitive to objects and critters in the road. It scared the heck out of me to avoid a squirrel. Even braked momentarily when a bunch of leaves blew across the road.
  • Did well navigating the aisles and avoiding people in the Kroger parking lot, but picked a narrow parking spot, maneuvered to back in, and then just stalled. I waited for at least 30 seconds and then took control.
  • The driving styles are interesting. So far it just seems to go further over the speed limit as you crank it up.
  • Still doesn’t recognize my driveway. It’s gravel, with woods on both sides. 13.9 would slow down, but 14.1 drives right past the entrance until I intervene and back up.
That’s my feedback so far. Maybe fifty miles driving around.

Finally, I just say, the FSD seems to reveal more about its decision making. Like starting a maneuver and then aborting that for an alternative. It’s like you can feel the uncertainty.

I’m still in love with the beast and so happy to be pushing the technological envelope.

Cheers!

I had the same problem untill three or so updates ago, which fixed that and backed me in perfectly.

That's good to know... Haven't used a SC since getting FSD 14 so it will be interesting... In the past month or so, on the trips we've been on, I have been parking at them myself...

I did notice that it is NOT 'riding the line' on the freeway anymore and that's a plus!

I’ve got a 2025 with 10,000 miles and it was still hitting the yellow left line all the time and even the reflector bumps after previous update. Haven’t been on the highway so hopefully that’s been fixed with 14

Ours was too, but somewhere I read that if you change to 'sport' mode (in Dynamics) it quits hitting the line almost completely and only hits the reflectors every once in a while... But 'comfort' mode DOES hit them a LOT more for some reason...

I've gone a few hundred miles since yesterday, and it seems like it's learning. I drove up to our cabin, which has roads like you described, and FSD finally hugged the shoulder side on blind turns. That was much appreciated! I hope yours gets better with more miles.

My first experience with FSD V14 was it attempting to go the wrong way on a one way.. not a good first impression. V13 never did this.

Quirks:
  • Brake stabbing for no reason
  • Avoiding road debris (leaf piles and plastic bags..)
  • Longer than normal stops at stop signs

Improvements:
  • Lane centering is finally fixed and it's much more confident around larger vehicles
  • It maintains speeds much better than V13
