FSD Cybertruck jail active?

Autopilot seems to vary drastically between different models. had a newer Model 3 rental car and whoever drove it before me put black electrical tape over the internal camera. In just a day or so I was in autopilot jail - something I had never been in for the 5 years I had my 2016 Model S (no internal camera). Most of the warnings I got were unwarranted which was super frustrating. I’d find myself yanking on the steering wheel to try and avoid violations. It was to the point that I basically had to drive anyway and defeated the entire purpose of autopilot. So far the CB hasn’t yelled at me but I have sunglasses on. ? Habent had to pull on the wheel. Seems better!

In the early days of FSD, jail could be weeks/months until a new version released and reset it. I'm not sure how long it will be on Cybertruck. I saw a post on X (DirtyTesla?) that had the red squircle so it is active.

You don't have a internal camera?

S/X didn't get the internal camera until the refresh in late 2021.

Correct. 3 in legacy MS/X without cabin cam.

This is interesting. I wonder if someone gets put in jail can go into service mode and reinstall the software and see if that resets it. May be a good experiment to do for anyone who gets a strike.

The active monitoring is pretty sensitive. I can't look at my phone in my hand without it warning me about having a device in my hand.

I got the warning twice yesterday on highway. But I strongly believe it is a software bug, because FSD still works while the warning sign is on!

That warning usually means auto steer is going off and won’t come back on. Depends on what you were doing.

I believe the speed limit is 85 for FSD. I had to manually accelerate to pass a semi and hit 88 and that triggered the take over message and disabled auto steer until I stopped and went into park etc.

The FSD shouldn’t be reactivated and works perfectly while the warning sign still on.

Ah, that sounds like a bug then. When I got that message it worked as it should.
