Really sorry about the medical condition. With respect to potential layoffs, your Tesla advisor MAY allow you to hold until you can actually take delivery (if that's an option). Potential layoffs always suck, but sometimes you survive them and then move on. I'm ignorant about your predicament, but THERE'S ALWAY A WAY TO NEGOTIATE THROUGH something that initially may seem "binary yes or no"... is there a "how about this option?" solution that you can try? Would hate to see you lose your shot...
