How about when using Grok: “Navigate me to home”

Doesn’t work… lacking integration to read my “Holm“ address from Tesla navigation system. Looking forward to this minor detail being enhanced

Can someone clarify how the nav behavior is supposed to work? Mine seems to be inconsistent. For example, if I'm in the car with no route planned and open grok and ask it to navigate to the Fred Meyer in Redmond, it will find the store and pop up the info about and tell me how far it is and when I'll arrive etc. but it doesn't actually select the point. I have to tap the nav button in the in the point of interest pop up. Other times, I'll have a route planned and open grok and ask it to add a stop and it will completely add it and change the destination and everything is good to go. How is it working for you? Also, sometimes I add a stop but it just changes your route to the new destination and I loose the rest of the route.
This is the complaint! Not only have I experienced exactly what you are describing Grok also lies and cheats! Grrr

Found a couple nice videos showing how the Grok/Navigation integration works.

Suddenly, my other car’s ‘traditional GPS navigation’ seems like ancient tech. 😅

It's the first iteration of Grok being integrated with Tesla's navigation. Yes, it's a little inconsistent with whether it works as intended in every situation. Sometimes you have to touch the destination that Grok causes to pop up, other times your requested gets added seamlessly to your route. I think this is a reflection of how Tesla navigation works when not using Grok, specifically, if the nav system has a high enough confidence that it correctly identified your destination it was automatically added as a destination but if there was enough doubt, you had to click on the displayed destination to confirm.

This is how Tesla releases new non-safety critical features, ASAP, even if not perfect. In future iterations it will improve rapidly. The idea that Winston Churchill popularized applies here, "Perfection is the enemy of progress". I would say the Grok integration is already pretty amazing, even with the current inconsistencies, it's more useful than not having it. I'm very impressed actually, and can hardly wait for it to become even better. It blows away everything else out there that I'm aware of.

I don't know. I subscribed to the blue checkmark on X.com for around $10/month and that gave me access to Grok on X. But Grok works fine on my Cybertruck too and I don't think it's because I paid for the blue checkmark because I don't remember having to give my credentials.
Unless you signed in the truck will ask you to log in on the app. Then the truck Grok will “know” you. It will address you by name, etc.
