This is great information, thanks. I wonder if there’s a specific lumen / lux you can be below and have it be legal for on-road use. There must be some sort of threshold as taxis and delivery services have lights on the hoods. I’d be totally open to something interesting that isn’t a full on off road lightbar.According to a recent court case and self-appeal filed by the appellate
it is indeed an off-road light bar because it sits more than 42.5 “ above the ground and must be covered. On CA the CHP is authorized to enforce it.
If it were aux lights (being lower) then you could operate and leave them uncovered.
This case was about a jeep user at or near Tahoe but considering where many are posting from, may apply.
On another subject, frankly, the headlights are a disappointment on a 24 vehicle.
