Given that some states require off-road light bars to be covered on-road, would someone please create and sell one that fits the light bar Tesla offers? It's unusual insofar as it appears to be triangular cross section with the diagonal attached to the top of the windshield, while most light bars and covers are rooftop with rectangular cross section and perhaps a bit narrower where they mount, making it easy for a cover to hold on.
I realize there are at least three aftermarket light bars for the Cybertruck, but all the Foundation Series folks in principle will have the Tesla light bar, and will potentially need a solution for the cover problem.
I haven't actually got a look at one yet, but my favorite imagining is a two piece hinged cover, one part attached to the top of the light bar, the other clipping either open all the way against that, or down over the lighting surface. I suggest clips near either side rather than in the center, better hold down and better to walk around than to have a long reach. That's if there's something clips could attach to. The clips had better be durable for both wind and lots of open/close cycles. And the whole thing should be reasonably thin (say 1/4" total when open) and with a somewhat rounded edge at the top when open. And not look stupid (hinges and clips not too obvious, whole thing black probably).
If something like that is possible and sound, it would be very easy to cover or uncover, and not even need storage for the cover when not in use.
(if Tesla had been really smart, maybe they'd have included an electrically operated cover that would open a second before the light bar lit up, and close a few seconds (for cooling) after it turned off. But they didn't, and that's perhaps too big and expensive an ask for an add-on cover.)
IMO state cover requirements are silly; what matters is that it's not used on-road if it might blind oncoming drivers; a Cybertruck restricting it to offroad mode seems quite sufficient. But they are what they are, so we need a cover solution.
