We took our UP INVINCIBLE Cyberbeast out for some hardcore testing and needless to say, it did not disappoint.
Products in the video included UP-03 Beadlock, Front Bull Bar, Front HD Bumper, Carbon Fiber Hood System with 50” LED Light Bar, Rear HD Bumper with side step and Left and Right Swing Arms, Rocksliders, Molle Rack with Roof Rails.

I drove my CT like this in Baja mode for 45 miles last week Off road. I thought it would become a rattle box for my in town driving afterwards. I’ve had zero rattles sneak up on me since. Tesla really engineered it to crush the trails. So much fun to watch!

The wheelbase is pretty long so my rear flaps came off pretty quick while testing articulation. Otherwise my CT got through everything I threw at it.

Amazing, this is some of the most hardcore driving and roads I have seen. No other truck could have done what the CT just accomplished. I’m not exactly sure why the lines aren’t out the door to buy one.

The aftermarket rods held in place during baja mode?

Because there is a crowd of haters and ignorants pushing the narrative that the Cybertruck is all show and no go and most people just believe it.

The handling and driving dynamics of the Cybertruck, both on and off-road, are amazing.

That said, the video above is not the best example (it looks over-weight compared to the way mine handles). Adding weight up high, and on the front and rear bumpers, increases yaw inertia and that video is a good example of how that negatively impacts the driving dynamics.

One of the reason the Cybertruck handles so well is the low center of gravity and that there is not a lot of weight in front of the front wheels and behind the rear wheels. This reduces the amount of traction required to make fast directional changes and makes it feel super responsive. Tacking on all that steel dampens Cybertrucks best qualities (if you like to performance drive).

I grew up by the performance motto, "light is right". We always strived to get rid of unnecessary weight (and keep it centralized), we didn't add extra weight!

I can only guess you've never been off road. That was some real mild terrain.
Agreed, had a full size Bronco that I absolutely loved and had off-road way more intense than that video. Not to say the Cybertruck is not an amazing machine but many trucks out there can do some amazing off-roading adventures.

There was a line out the door to buy one with millions of pre orders. Two things happened.

Remember back to 2019, this was priced to be an everyman vehicle. Cheaper and more capable than an f150. Utilitarian, affordable, fun and something different.

Then Tesla launched it at “Rich Guy” prices, and additionally started with the foundation series add on. Then in the second market, all hell broke loose with celebrities and athletes driving them around with rumors of some paying $200k or more.

So that cemented people’s first impression… status symbol car. Even though it’s an insanely great vehicle (comfort, speed, capability) the look and original price news are what people see and remember.

Thing two is politics. I’m not getting into that here but people get vile about this stuff.

So then came the haters, influences and traditional media. This will go down in the history books as likely the most controversial launch of a consumer product ever.

Every single issue or mishap exaggerated and sensationalized. My regular old boring ICE cars have had way worse recalls and issues. They’re boring and not news worthy though. My CT is issue free.

Let’s say the same exact truck came out at two different prices, and had the same number of isolated issues that became reported.

Original prices: “Working family man does the best he can, saves up, and buys vehicle for him and his family to enjoy for years to come. The truck had an issue, as many vehicles do, and Teslas 8 year warranty made it right”

a feel good story. instead we got:

“Richest man in the world designs vehicles for other rich guys who have more money than brains. We are glad to see issues as we hope the worst for owners and Elon”

An article you will never read is this: “well to do family makes purchase out of reach for 99 percent of Americans and thoroughly enjoys it”. That doesn’t get eyeballs and is also really off putting. So the negative is what remains at these prices.

Anyway, that negativity is almost certainly believed now by many.

I do think it will take time for press and social media to find something more interesting to talk about before the truck becomes more mass market. It will get there as more and more buyers actually drive one and realize it’s way better than the competition.

Good to know, I've been reluctactant to even go into extract mode due to rods.
I've used Extract Mode numerous times (where I actually needed it just to get through) and didn't have any issues. But I have to admit, I don't know what this issue called "rods" has to do with.

What are rods?

Can you please link the products you use to mount the jack to the molle sail? I can't find proper molle mounts anywhere.
Thank you.
