I saw that they are available on the website now and I’m curious about how it looks installed and what people think that have it in terms of functionality.

would love to see photos from inside and out and see how it functions.

thanks in advance to any who post.

cheers

I have one ordered from about a month ago. Apparently they had some complaints and have reworked the design to ensure no contact between the cover and the window. Delayed my delivery a while longer.

several. It’s not just changing the window. It allows it to open.

If you close the tonneau cover and open the window, then the AC from the cabin can work for you while you sleep in the vault if you want to camp in hot or cold weather without a tent.

Since there is no sunroof, opening the window and the tonneau along with the door windows will give the closest approximation to an open sunroof while driving if fresh air is your sort of thing (depending on how fresh the air may be where you are, of course).

reach through access to items in the vault may be a possibility as well.

These have been around for pickup trucks for several decades.

Cheers

when you say cover are you referring to the tonneau? Basically it was hitting the breezer window when it opened and closed so they had to modify the design?

that is a challenge they haven’t faced in the pickup industry in the past so it would make sense thet this would be the struggle to adapt it to the cybertruck.

i’d still like to see some photos even of the problematic first iteration in action to get a sense of how it would work on this vehicle.

very much appreciate that info as I was unaware they had a redesign issue ongoing.

i wonder if it makes it tougher to install as well because the tonneau erases your leeway in terms of tolerance of deviation from perfect placement?

thanks again

Cheers

Glad I held off a little bit. I’m going to wait to see how this develops before I order.

As soon as I see a review video and satisfied customers... surprised they only have generic pics on that page, seems like CT is a ripe market.

If your truck is starting to smoke or filling with water you may not be able to shatter the windows to escape. This will allow you to escape from the cabin (if you are not overweight) and die inside the locked vault with dignity. Just kidding, camping in the vault with AC would be the best use case.

Kick the window outwards.

But if it's filling with water, well, you probably have other problems.

Which window? I do not think any of the windows are "kickable" by a human.
They're designed to protect the passengers from stuff outside. They're not designed to protect the outside from you. Once cracked, they will flex outwards.

I wish that was true, but its simply not. No one is getting through these laminated windows unless the have an axe, or the windows are at least partially opened.

But I don't want to hijack this thread, I also would love to see a Breezer window installed.
