There have been multiple variations of limits, depending on what your email states, on the $2,500 PowerShare vouchers received by many Foundation Series buyers. Mine stated: "you can use this voucher in a single transaction to purchase items in the Tesla Shop up to the value of the voucher", and "Voucher can only be used once ... Any unused balance remaining after the transaction will be forfeited".
Of course, the main issue with using these vouchers, especially those with the single use limitation, is many of the most desirable items are usually out of stock. So, I've been watching the Tesla store and looking for an available combination of useful items that would add up to around $2,500. Last night I noticed both the recently released Tesla crossbars and the spare tire kit were both in stock. I added both of those, and a couple of HEPA filters and wiper blades, plus the Frunk net kit to burn off the rest of the voucher, and pulled the trigger.
The cross bars will be useful for me. I often used the roof rack on my old Yukon EX to haul long items and I'm sure that will be true for the CT, too. The spare tire kit was a little pricey but I plan to add the spare to my tire rotation procedure and extend the life of the original tires by 25%. All of the other items, except for the tools in the spare tire kit, are consumables that I'd eventually buy, too.
For me, it was a voucher well-spent!
