Years ago I wanted Homelink in my (then new) Ford Ranger. Bought a visor from a dude on eBay with Homelink. Dug it out of the visor and made a plate to mount it in the Ranger's ash tray. If I was doing this today, I'd buy a Homelink module on Amazon, such as this one:
https://www.amazon.com/Homelink-60-HMLKV5ALL-Version-Three-Colors/dp/B01MRJ6MK0
...if you were planning to power it off of USB-C in the truck, you could use a module one of these to provide power:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DBZ1LXRN
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D7942HWP
My Cybertruck USB-C in the console supports 5, 9, 15 and 20v. Verified with both of these power modules. I'd bet that one of the 12 volt Homelink modules would run on 9 or 15 volts.
Homelink is pretty cool if you have a variety of remote technologies. Maybe a fixed code remote for a gate and a rolling code unit on some other frequency for your garage door.
