Yes. This release note has since been published:
Also, to close the loop on this, I did eventually return from my trip. When I got back, I re-installed the seat and rebooted the truck. The problem was resolved. The missing seat was 100% the cause of the problem I was experiencing.
Conclusion
If you take out the passenger seat, you will get a restraint failure notification (expected) and the following problem will manifest:
With the latest update adding noise canceling, I would assume this probably breaks too, but have not actually tested it.

Conclusion
If you take out the passenger seat, you will get a restraint failure notification (expected) and the following problem will manifest:
- Voice input /output will stop working. No errors. No warnings. It just does not work any more. Voice commands are not heard. It waits for input, but it will not hear you.
- Grok will listen but cannot hear you. It can no longer be used.
- Cell calls over BT will not work. The call connects. No audio is sent to the other party. Also, the other party is not heard. Bidirectional failure, which is interesting, because this means it's not just a microphone failure.
With the latest update adding noise canceling, I would assume this probably breaks too, but have not actually tested it.
