Long Wait for Registration Stuff

I picked up my truck at the Charlotte, NC show room on 16 January and the registration papers and plates haven't arrived here (Virginia) yet. Almost a month and a week.
I thought I had indicated that I would do the registration stuff myself in the online process of vehicle delivery.
I contacted Tesla yesterday and they confirmed the process is with Virginia right now and I should be receiving something soon.
Is this a typical wait time?

Hey Ken,

I picked-up my Cyberbeast at Charlotte Northlake on January 02, and finally got my papers day-before yesterday (Jan 18). This is the third Tesla I purchased this year and it takes a while to get the paperwork.
