Not your usual post...but...
Tesla Cybertruck Mattel Hot Wheels 20210809_192406
Fellow Cybertruck followers if you are interested in a Cybertruck Hot Wheel toy check your local Target store. A potential Christmas present that will please while we are awaiting production in 2022. The car uses four AA batteries and Sells for $19.99. I would suggest Duracell Optimum.

Works great, but have you figured out how to turn off the controller? There's a power switch on the CT but on the controller the power LED seems to stay on.... how long? Seems crazy to have to take out a battery (with a screwdriver!) to turn the controller off...?

I don't want to just waste the controller batteries when I'm not using it!

Just got back from breakfast and decided to drive it around on the paved circle outside the house. Turned off the CT and brought it inside, and after a few minutes the power LED on the controller DOES turn off.

Ordered one delivered from Target. I’m recovering from COVID (I’m fully vaxed, so wasn’t too bad). Great little toy for $19.95. Yeah I found the controller auto powers off as does the truck. Good tip that you can power off the controller manually.

My 7 year old will enjoy it for a few minutes, but this giant 7 year old will play with it a lot more.

What makes you think the truck powers off automatically, if you don't turn off the switch on the underside of the truck?

Well, it's an assumption, I could be wrong... but if you power the controller after it's auto powered off it won't connect to the truck again until you power the truck off and back on.

To me, that sounds like it was still on, and "remembered" the controller "id" it was last been connected to...?

Could be, I'd lean towards it had powered off but it's complete guess. Perhaps someone can pull it apart and find out. :)
