I’m trying to find out if it’s possible to open up the headrest and shave down the cushion. I am 5’4” and It pushes the top of my head way forward and is ergonomically terrible for my neck.

I’m aware that the headrest is fixed to the seat and the Apholstry is all connected. I want to find an upholsterer that can assure me that the seat/headrest can be reupholstered and the headrest cushion can be shaved down flat before I purchase my cyber beast as my daily car. Anyone know if it can for sure be done?

Sorry to reawaken a previously dead thread but my wife has the same question. For her the “point” on the head rest hits her right in the middle of her head and she finds it very uncomfortable. I have considered the same thing as the original poster and wanted to see if somebody else had already done it.

We have tried nearly very headrest pillow and none of them seem to work for her.

We use this seat back and seat cushion, the cushion sits you a little higher while the seat back lessens the impact of the forward point of the headrest.
I also might try to take a cinch and buckle it around the circumference of the headrest point and then use gentle heat from a heat gun to reform-reshape the inner plastic brackets and internal foam because this design is about the worst thing for ergonomics even for someone 6 foot tall like myself. It’s an example of putting design ahead of function.
