Homelink works so well you can see it open when you arrive and see it close when you leave and don’t have to wait around for an internet connection to connect. Hamelink is so, so much better in my opinion. CT needs homelink. Are you listening, Elon?
Couldn’t agree more. Elon we need and want Homelink in the CT. MyQ sucks.

Having used Homelink and MyQ both for years - I vastly prefer the feature set of MyQ, but was able to depend on the reliability of Homelink. I see the 'connection error' from time to time, but that's the trucks' internet connectivity. Just Tesla things.

If you have a wall mount (shaft connected), would you guys mind including which of these 3 and the models you are using that you really like? Planning a house build and want a rock solid one for use with the CT.
I have two of the Chamberlain wall mount openers without batteries-we have solar with battery backup. Gave up on MyQ. Have Apple Home with a product called Tailwind. Tailwind works great to open the door upon arrival, just drive right in. We use the “dumb” opener to close the door. Tailwind will close automatically after leaving and will notify you on your phone. we live on a short street and Tailwind requires at least 250’ departure distance to close the door. It is not that we do not trust it, just that the distance makes us uncomfortable.

I get error about once every 3 weeks. Sometimes I will then go into the app and it also says error but seems to go away it self the next time I go to
Use it, honestly I don’t even know why i have the stupid thing. You can get a clicker the size of a quarter these days. It’s one of those things you just keep paying for.

I too periodically get myQ 'Network Errors' and the garage door will not open. I am paying for the myQ subscription service. I think it's time TESLA and myQ fixed the problem.
