TL;DR - Grok can now remove way points on the fly via voice! Along with selecting a new destination, etc.

I often use waypoints on the map to force the truck to take a route that I prefer. The problem with that, until now, is you have to remember to edit the trip before the truck arrives, or you may find yourself pulling in to somebody's driveway at one of the intermediate waypoints.

Until now, I could ask Grok to create a complex route ("navigate to home depot, but take 144th to South St and over to Wilson") and it would add the waypoints to force the route. But it wouldn't update the route while the truck was driving, so I still had to edit the route manually via the screen for each segment as I approached the waypoints.

But with the latest release 2026.14.6.7 / v14.3.4, Grok is able to add and remove waypoints via voice, while you're driving. So, now, before you get to a waypoint, you can say "Hey Grok, remove the next waypoint" and it'll do it. Much easier than manually editing the route via the screen.

I'd be curious to hear about any other new Grok tricks folks have come across. I'm enjoying the 'Hey, Grok' functionality a lot.

That's a good trick and work around for now. I'm always trying to figure out what control Grok has on the CT.

Really looking forward to a conversational Grok that can understand navigation and driving preferences. Take the back roads, make a right at the light ahead or park in space number 42.

Love this tip! I've been advocating on X for a long time to allow us to create and save Preferred Routes with waypoints to do exactly what you described.

I have to see if GROK will use a Drive Thru vs. parking next time.
Hey GROK, use the Starbucks Drive Thru, don't park!

My primary FSD disengagement is due to the lame route picks for FSD, even though I know shorter, faster routes.

I still want this feature, but will use these GROK tips.
Thanks

Grok has been teaching me to speak Hebrew.
In general Grok seems pretty dumb but on language training I found it far better than other voice models. It remember you are practicing the language and can do back and forth like a tutor. Most the other gets confused on who is supposed to be speaking and what is going on.

No need to disengage most of the time.
switch to the full route view by tapping on the top of the navigation list. Then you can tap an alternate route. Often the preferred one. Might show as same amount of time or more. I do this quite often to avoid unnecessary unprotected left turns on busy highways that may require a longer wait than an alternative route with a left turn at a light.

It’s pretty interesting how much detail grok knows about your vehicle. I asked it something once and it threw in some kind of detail I didn’t expect about the truck. So later on I asked it to tell me everything it knew about my vehicle and it’s a decent length list.

Ran into a weird little artifact yesterday trying to Grok around a delay on the interstate. I kept trying to take a road that parallels I70, Grok would tell me good to go ... but that was not what the map was showing. Got to the intersection and the road was marked "Dead End" and arrows pointed back to the interstate. Apparently the map had the traffic data (road closure) but Grok did not explore that in the chipper conversation with me.

As much as I always disliked the disapproval dripping from the Garmin GPS "REROUTING" sound clip, it would be nice if the map would tell us what is going on and why. Instead of us debugging a black box with a black cat, in the dark, at midnight. As an option anyway. Obv some folks would rather not be bothered.

Not a grok command, but I always use the mic to say "wiper off" after engaging FSD. It turns them off without the dry wipe.

people say Grok is more accurate & better response if one use/creates ones own account. Let us hear if it's true!
