Hi everyone,

I’m a new owner here. My first EV as well. Am loving the CT but I have no audible alerts “chimes” whilst driving or parking meaning that if any object is too close to my CT whether a car on the road or parking in my garage there is ZERO sound. Yes I see the red glow on the console but that’s not very helpful, useful, or safe to stare at in a moving vehicle. Can any one confirm if this is a feature that is yet to come or am I missing something ?

Try a soft reset by holding both scroll wheels down until the screen goes black ( like 10 secs) & then let go. If that doesn’t work, try a hard reset
To hard reset a Tesla Cybertruck, you can perform a power cycle:
  1. Shift into Park
  2. Touch Controls > Safety > Power Off on the touchscreen
  3. Wait at least two minutes
  4. Open the door to wake up the vehicle

Can validate sounds by having a passenger not wearing a seatbelt. Elon is quick to tell on them at around 10-15 mph.

are you suggesting that YOU have audible alerts while driving for nearby objects?

It is extremely quiet, but it does beep. I had to turn off the AC to pick it up on video. I have Joe Mode enabled, so that might be why its quiet.

hmm what view is that? Looks like parking only.
Is there a similar view for active driving?

You want parking chimes while driving? Yes this is the parking view. I still get alerts sounds while driving, like when I get to close to a lane marker, or no seat belt. Try turning off Joe Mode if you cant hear them.

Wait was this always supposed to be a thing? I didn't have audio cues for backing up until literally a few days ago after downloading a new update. Had the vehicle for approximately 2 months without any audio cues when backing up.

Of Course I do. We all do since the recent FSD update. Some of those features were apparently connected to FSD etc. I assuming you are experiencing a bug or glitch of some sort.

FWIW, I’m on software v12 ⁦(2024.26.300.1 d14f1d5804e9)⁩. No FSD yet. Joe Mode is off. I simply dont have any sounds/chimes/audible alerts no matter how close I am to an object while parking or driving on the road.

Probably a glitch then because I just got the FSD update and still audible alerts.

So update from me is there is no such feature as Control in the main menu just Safety. So the suggestion to navigate to Controls > Safety > Park Assist Chimes does not exist (I have “safety” but park assist chimes is not an option).
