If any Tesla product managers are reading: simulated park sensing would be helpful. When parking, just having an audio indicator of how close you are to objects around you would be awesome. I know the sensors are not existent on the CT But I’d imagine image recognition is capable especially since mechanism around understanding surroundings with FSD technology is pretty smart and you pretty much have the real world mapped in real time on the screen already with other cars, people and objects.

Try driving another Tesla and see what it does, you may be surprised at what it already does.

Parking assist isn't new, just new to Cybertruck.

Audible indicators for the Cybertruck is an absolute must! For a truck this size and this massive we need audible indicators for objects that are too close. especially right out of Park or when parking. I propose FSD should not be released without audible indicators for safety concerns.

This would be amazing specially if they can incorporate the ambient lighting as an option

How did anyone ever drive a truck 30 years ago?

They drove with a lot more dings and dents, that's for sure. A lot children also got ran over, to the point where they made rear cameras mandatory.

The more sensors and assists, the better.

Ah hopefully this will be available with a software update then!

Yeah... the question is when. I already tapped my garage inside wall (no damage, it was drywall... no damage to the truck... the wall needed a little mud though).

Elon said last qtr... Tesla is on Jamaican time "No worries mon...".... days later....

My 16 years old daughter is driving my old e430 with no camera no sensor whatsoever.
She is still 16 I assume? You didn't use past tense. So she has 15mins of driving experience? I damaged my parents truck's bumper when I was 18. Accidents take time, but I hope she never experiences the guilt of having to tell daddy she damaged the car. ?

I think the ultimate goal should be a car that has enough sensors and functionality to prevent 100% of accidental rear and forward low speed impacts. Leave in an override (increasing accelerator depression) for those edge cases where you might need to ram your way out of trouble, or are off-roading.

No vehicle is there yet as far as I know, but it should be possible with todays tech. I think the CT can get most of the way there with camera's, but it will not be able to get to 100%.

I bet you without a doubt, 100%, that your daughter while driving your old e430 is able to take full advantage of her rearview mirror and can confidently turn and look through the rear mirrors of her vehicle. Take those abilities away and would she benefit from Audible sensors?

So the audible sensor are not needed on other vehicles? Just kidding, i got your point but the woodrick was talking about the sensors in general no just cybertruck.

Yes, she is still 16 years old and yes, she already back to her best friend's dad's car, very minor but yes, it happened just like all of us did.

On the other hand, her mom with a car full of camera and sensors just backed to another parked vehicle a few weeks ago.

My point is camera and sensor are good to have but still need to be a good driver from the basics we learned one way or another..

Yea, no.

AFAIK, rear cameras are NOT mandatory.

Heck, I think that some cars were even bigger than the Cybertruck's dimensions.

Absolutely! Welcome to Tesla! It's a different world, as you'll soon hopefully learn.

Everything that you know about legacy vehicles? You can throw most of that out the door!
