I reserved a rental Tesla for a trip, but they were out, so I had to settle for a Polestar (unless I wanted a Bolt). It's an EV, so that's cool, right?

The first thing I noticed was "OMG WTF IS WITH THESE TINY-ASS WIPERS" hahahaha

Every time I changed lanes, I forgot about the stalks and ended up changing the radio station or something with the steering wheel buttons.

You must manually put it in drive, put it in park...wtf? The gear selector knob is in the traditional location, but you push forward for reverse and pull for drive. Huh?

Around the gear selector are a number of "soft-touch" buttons in bad locations. Just a light brush with my hand and I would accidentally engage the hazards and/or blast the radio. I guess that's their version of a Lightshow?

Acceleration was powerful, but there was strong throttle-steer and it would get very squirrely. Trying to steer felt like I was spinning the helm. Hand over hand! Good times.

The phone heater was terrible, it barely even got warm.

Charging was an adventure. My planned Chargepoint stop had 2 stations, both down, so I had to settle for an hour of 11kW charging (at a Ford dealership no less) to reach the next DCFC. Still better than ICE hahaha

Now I'm driving a Mazda 3, I keep lifting the throttle and "Hey we're not stopping...WE'RE NOT STOPPING...OH SHIIIIIIIIII"

I can’t live without the phone heater now. On cold days it’s so nice to have a hot and toasty phone in your hands.

Brings up a good question, how many use one pedal driving. Always turn it off, I like to be able to coast, I’m not driving a golf cart. But I live in a place that can get ice on the road, and if you hit ice and take your foot off the pedal, and the car tries to stop on ice, your going to have a bad time.

One pedal driving is the only option these days so you won't be able to turn it off.

I’m able to turn it off on my Model S and on my wife’s Model 3. I assume it’s able to disable on the CT. And since it is a safety issue I would always be able to disable.
