Gotta fire their copy writer. Watts are power, not energy :)

Other than that looks like a slick integration, not that far off from what I'm trying to DIY .........

Neat - that's a good idea to generate some revenue by leveraging their in-house designed solar cells. I really hope Aptera can survive. It's unlikely I'll be getting one of their vehicles anytime soon, but it's an interesting design.

They are both. That's why watts and watthours both say watts. That's why it's confusing.

-Crissa
Can't be both. Power and energy mean different things. The relation is: power x time = energy. Watts, specifically describe power, not energy. Watthour describes energy. Watt and watthour are different units.

No.

They mean specific things in different specific languages, but generally, they do not mean different things.

Do not confused specific language as being clear at all. Different specialties will have different interpretations of the same words. And more general usage will have less specificity.

That's the problem with trying to bring in specifics while describing to a layperson; these bright lines become hazy.

I don't want to argue semantics, just wanted to clarify some facts to avoid a layperson misusing a term, because that's how misuse spreads. Not a big deal, just causes more unnecessary confusion. I prefer that I'd get corrected if I misuse a term and assume some others prefer the same. I'm sure others just feel annoyed with such clarifications. Please ignore me.

There's the thing, which definition do you use?

Here it's using 'watts' and 'energy' which seems correct. They don't store energy, they transfer it.

I honestly can't find an authoritative source that doesn't conflict with another, about whether power is output peak or output times discharge which wouldn't apply to panels.

Aptera should not have any time for these types of partnerships. That company always gives me the sense that they are perpetually waiting for the next round of funding to clear.

I know they recently got some funding, but it feels like an engineer which could’ve spent time trying to cut costs was instead creating or reviewing design documents.

...I'm confused. They need funding but they shouldn't sell products they've built?

Tesla sold motors to Toyota while they were building out their factory. If you have a part or process done, why not leverage it to support your core product's development?

Aptera announced on Saturday they were providing the technology to enhance Polydrops's trailer to include solar.

Ooooohhhh... I really like this travel trailer and would fit the Cybertruck quite nicely. I'm going to follow these guys to get updates.

Yes! Intriguing solar energy collaboration. I got to talk with Polydrops CEO at Electrify Expo where he discussed why he wanted to use Aptera Panels:
