With the looming pick up of my CT, I have some very amateur questions to ask. This is my first Tesla, and I know I qualify for the Powershare equipment as per the email I received. Now, question is, this Powershare has the ability to charge the vehicle as well as offer the added benefit of powering my home?

Or must I buy the actually charging dock and then have the powershare as an addition? Also while I'm waiting for the installers, can I just charge using the normal 120V outlet? Perhaps run to the nearest charger if that won't be enough for the day..

Sorry for the noob questions, still learning to crawl before running..

You'll need a/the latest wall charger from Tesla installed, def on a 240v circuit to your panel or the Powershare equipment, which is a Gateway, that disconnects you from the grid if/when needed if power goes out physically. You'll use that to both charge your Tesla, and in the case of an outage then, send power from your Tesla to your gateway, that in turn will send it to your panel for your home to use (up to its limit) that Tesla can send and if you are wired correctly.
