Sandy did not order all the trucks for himself.

1 cold-rolled stainless steel no-paint dent-resistant scratch-resistant Cybertruck for Sandy to go deer hunting in.

1 Cybertruck for tear-down by Munro Co.

3 Cybertrucks ordered by other employees at Munro Co.

Still a great man

Tesla probably already took into account the savings they would see from simplified production. Telsa is good at overestimating the savings they hope to see (most businesses are). I work at a company processing about $700M in construction a year. Cost are up at least 30% compared to when the pricing for the truck came out in 2019. I would guess that Tesla will hold the initial price, but there will certainly be reductions to make that price work. I also wouldn't wait to buy the truck because they will likely start adjusting the price if material pricing doesnt start to come back down in 2022. Its really good that the other truck makers are coming to the market as that will help keep pricing competitive, but its also clear that spec to spec the cybertruck is listed at a lower cost than its competitors which gives Telsa some opportunity to raise their cost.
