Yep. I had this happen to me too. It's unbelievable how many people "react" to the cybertruck. Unfortunately, it seems like more people go out of their way to show you that they don't like it than do.

The people leading the hate fest have the attention spans of fruit flies on crack, so it makes sense that they're unable to maintain any focused hatred for longer than 3 or 4 months. Plus, Elon's temporary job on DOGE will end sometime in May as I recall.

Had an very nice older woman stop me in a parking lot and gush how much she loves the cybertrucks (she called it the Tank). She really didn't know much about it outside of the looks. I gave her the 10 cent tour, 4 wheel steering, vault, cameras, FSD, music, roominess before she had to go. I answered her truthfully how much mine cost but said Hey! There's a new cheaper model, can be in mid $60's with tax credit. She sighed and said her husband would never let her buy an EV. I joked well, how attached are you really to your husband? Turns out he was in the next car and had his window down. He was grumpy about it. LOL, can't win them all. She did laugh.

Honestly, I've had more positive reactions than negative ones, even though I live in western Washington. Kids on bikes usually give a thumbs up as I drive by and the thumbs up on the freeway and in traffic far outnumber middle fingers. The only severely negative reaction was the local toxic crank, who told me I should move away when she saw me parking in the Post Office parking lot to get mail. To be fair, she's always hated me, even before I bought a Tesla. I smiled and offered to give her a ride so she could form an informed opinion of it, but she just glared at me. I tried. <shrug>

Maybe I spoke slightly too soon. Had a pack of blue haired teenagers (gothic-type) giggle to each other while saying nazi sort of things to me from about 100 feet away while I was with my kids in the car. Proud moment for them. Luckily my kids thought it was someone screaming at us because they loved the car so much. Innocence!

otherwise, getting far more inquisitive curious positive interactions (similar to before it being forced into a political thing)

I had a very poorly done Coal Roll from a Ram, that unfortunately affected the poor Prius in front of me. I'm sure it was directed at the CB, but it missed. I felt bad for the Prius because I have Biohazard mode just a voice command away.

I was driving down the street with the windows down on a warm day. As I was driving by a man standing in his yard, who looked at my CT, I heard him yell "what the hell?" with his arms raised!

I saw a man taking a picture of my CT while I was parked. I asked him what do you think? He said, "he doesn't like it." Wondering why he took the picture then?

Coal rolling is not an issue, bio defense mode and my truck is way faster.
It is people touching the vehicle that is problematic.

Had to make a quick Costco run—probably 20 minutes, but let’s round up to 30. Only had one anti-hoodlum elbow my Cybertruck, but that was enough to trigger an alert. Checked the footage and couldn’t help but laugh. Forgive the hideous editing—my skills are about as quick as my Costco runs lol.
