"Walk Away Auto Lock" function doesn't always seem to work.
Same. I am now paranoid and check the app if I didn't hear the lock sound.

On my Model Y, walk away lock always worked. I assume the CT auto lock issue is probably a sw issue and hopefully will improve in the updates.

And they are correct (see my update to my post). I can confirm it does not work on the cybertruck. And as an update to me saying that it might not even work on the refreshed model S and X, according to Google it does. I will check this with my 2023 model S plaid at a later time, but that doesn’t help you.

Can’t really think of any good reason why they wouldn’t have just allowed it to work with the Cybertruck except for aesthetics (maybe there’s a security/hacking concern).

Hopefully, Elon has a cybertruck shaped “cyberfob” coming at some point.
S and X keyfobs don't work on the Model Y or Model 3 either. Those may work on the Cybertruck, since they are the same technology.

Not sure if these are Tesla things or unique to cybertruck, but these quirks are annoying me as a first-time Tesla owner:

If a door is not fully closed alarm will ding but it won't tell you which door. All of my other vehicles do this.

B pillar camera won't show up anywhere on screen. Not sure what that camera does. When select between front and rear view on screen it should switch to the B pillar camera for front view, instead I see the camera at the front but still shows my rear tires. Silly.

When in Driver Door lock mode no way to open other doors without opening driver door first. Miss my key fob... It rains daily in Florida, not being able to open anything other than front door in pouring rain is ridiculous. App should allow all doors to unlock like fobs do with every other auto manufacturer.
You can see what door is open from the vehicle.
B pillar camera is used for FSD. There's too many cameras to show at once.
Showing the cameras to the drivers was more of an afterthought. The cameras are there for FSD.

Just to close the door on this: The refreshed Model S CAN add key fobs and for whatever reason, this is decidedly not an option on Cybertruck.

this, and the apparent lack of a home link module are baffling decisions on $120,000 car. I guess that’s less than what the Model S Plaid used to be (Thank God I didn’t pay $160k for it like some of those poor people that bought it just six months before I did! ?), good to me it’s just absurd that Tesla‘s cheapest car is more capable in some respects than what it’s flagship, “best car they’ve ever made” is! ??‍♂

That’s Tesla for you sometimes the decision-making is stupefying.
