The whole idea about the foundation series is to throttle the orders before rampup reachs the desire volume, and at same time to showcase the early ones with full options to the public. It won't hurt to squeeze some milk out it but it wasn't the intention. The extra 20k per vehicle is nothing for them and no impact on the balancesheet for whatsoever. So when the volume reaches the level, there is no point to offer the foundation version anymore. The foundation series never were intented for the limited collectable purpose, and telsa does care about its future value.

Totally agree. While $20,000 x 20,000 (est. run of FS production) is hardly nothing, it is not totally free additional money to Tesla. There is some included value (and costs) with the FS vehicles.

I thought TESLA's idea of including of a lot of seemingly random shop items and accessories with the Foundations Series was brilliant.

It gets these items out in the public view and the increased volume brings down their overall unit manufacturing costs. I don't think I would have ever purchased a CT installed bottle opener, but I will be glad I own the one included with my FS Cybertruck.
