Cool we’ll have a thread but when people don’t agree or have a differing opinion let’s not act like “they are crying “ or being insensitive or “arguing “ these type of threads feel like low key trolling then when someone says what I or some other said they are reprimanded ? ?
You're the one who wrote that in a thread about the price still being too high.

1st of all, I was sincere and not a troll! U’re accusation, kind of pisses me up actually. if everyone on the site was as hostile as that then there wouldn’t be anybody left on the site.
The second thing is, we don’t have Tesla dealers in Maine. We don’t have Tesla service centers in Maine. We have to drive past Boston in order to have either one. That’s a very long drive for a lot of people, especially those that are employed. So I just can’t go rent one when I want to. There is also no Uber here. I live in Naples, Me. Rural tourist town that closes up after Labor Day.
no one should interpret my recent post as I don’t like the cyber truck. I just feel a little bit switch perhaps is the best word I can use you know you advertise a vehicle for 49,000 and then you sell it for 90 I mean really. Where is our business ethics. And then I don’t even qualify for rebates.
The Cybertruck hasn't doubled from announcement, up around 50% depending upon configuration, but the stock market HAS more than doubled since then. As people have said, it's really not out of line with anything comparable. Since you are 75, exactly like me, and counting on FSD to extend your driving years as well, there actually isn't anything comparable at all.

I evaluated the Foundation Series package and went with that because I liked the options and wanted to get it soonest to adjust to it, and because the money I set aside for it in an S&P 500 index fund actually gave me a profit over the higher price. Like you, I'm hoping I get more than the 6.6 years breakeven on FSD, and optimistically suspect I will with inevitable price increases.

Ok so it drops now you at 36k ? Now it’s a Nissan Altima now you want it sooo bad and can’t wait for it in your driveway? Orr now you want the next new car that’s 80/100. With the new bells and whistles ? It’s funny hearing people
Want a car to crash in the market and devalue so they can then buy it at a even worse resale price ?

I want a battery electric truck no larger than the Cybertruck with so-so range and okay highway charging rates.

The bells and whistles are in fact irrelevant if I can't afford the price - as apparently a large number of reservations are priced out.

I received my reservation request to configure my cyber truck. It’s extremely expensive for what I get. Doesn’t qualify for a rebate to drop the price. $91,010 is overpriced, there is no negotiation. Buy it or leave the queue. Any + feedback requested. I also needed FSD as I’m 75 and soon wont be able to drive safely. Included in order is a charger.
It's not overpriced. It's just more than you want to spend. Buy what you want. You only live once. Don't live your life on "if it's eligible for a rebate" mode.

You could get a Model Y with the trailer hitch and FSD, and have both summer and winter tires. I hauled an Airstream trailer with my Y from Phoenix to Zion National Park Utah and back. Locations here in the American West are much further than in the NorthEast.

And use the trailer when you need to haul stuff.

FSD could be very useful for an older person.

Cheers, sir! Best wishes.

Perhaps some empathy instead of lectures and scoldings.
Yes I'm disappointed also. At the original $59k it was almost a no brainer. Waited almost 5 years and now when I figure my cost of ownership including projected depreciation, loss of tax credit. I am not sure it is worth it.
Likewise I am an old fart. Still trying to justify it though.

Thanks u get it. It isn’t worth the price. It is what it is and it’s better than the competition. Lots of bugs.
