I have seen a lot of complaints about frequent hard braking, but some people say it's better. It's not good in my Model X with v 14.1.4. My experience with V13 in both the CT and X has been nearly flawless, though others may disagree. It is weird that people have different experiences.

I wonder if there are regional data differences or if small hardware alignment issues are enough to affect it.

The way I see it;

V13 is a better overall ADAS...it's smooth and predictable on all platforms outside of the CT. You know what it can and cannot handle. With the CT, you know on long interstates, it will go over the line at some point.

V14 does more advanced things, but it's not nearly as smooth nor predictable. It will slam on brakes for a yellow light, but also may reverse a bit for no reason at said yellow light...but it will weave through situations that V13 could never do.

The parking aspect is cool, but not overly useful in V14. It mostly wants to park in handicap spots and often parks on or over the line, but it's really cool. When it gets it right on a single drive, it feels different.

It will smooth out and get better, more predictable, but right now V13 is a better ride overall IMO.

I think it's situational; weather, road conditions, traffic, user comfort/confidence, etc. The love and complaints have come from everywhere, all over the US, in different vehicles. Dirty has a completely different opinion of V14 than Chuck does, but we've seen versions since 10.3 and know there will be improvements.

My thoughts exactly. I was pretty worried about it because…you know, everyone’s dead.Lucky, Lou-Ann, dale etc. but it’s actually really good. Respectful.

And the task is…get everyone to acknowledge FSD 14 is awesome. You may not like it now and it will likely improve but it’s the future and you will eventually like it.

It’s perfect! I love it! Grok really had a hard time animating this simple structure but it could easily bring Peacemaker and Eagley to life and throw in bacon. Go figure!
