Sam Evans, the "Electric Viking" from Australia came to visit California. My Cybertruck was the first Cybertruck he had ever seen!
Just yesterday Shanna was explaining to me that there still more chemo that she will be doing in Australia when they get back.
The family as a whole are amazingly positive through this. I was in the same situation with my gal 10 years ago but for Anne, it was AML leukemia. I was definitely not as cool and controlled as Sam.
I really became fond of Shanna and so I hope with all my heart that this can turn out well.
Anne and I received amazing support and help from those around us. Support from others in these situations is precious and superbly appreciated emotionally. I lived this and understand this. And so i am so pleased to see this family receive so very much support from everyone around them.
People can be so wonderful when fellow man is in distress. As sad as these situations can be, for me at least, it fills my heart that people can be so sympathetic and empathetic.
oh!! Importantly Sam has a message he’d like folks to consider. Shanna has two younger sisters that are only in there 30’s. They both got colonoscopies even at their young age. One was found to have several precancerous polyps and so her colonoscopy may have saved her life. Sam’s hope is people will not wait for 50’s but get the screening done earlier in life, especially if cancer runs in your family.
The backstory is no secret. Sam explains it regularly amongst his videos, so I’m sure Sam is fine if I explain it to you. Basically Shanna, who in her late 30’s , came down with colon cancer. They have been getting her treated in Australia and Thailand. Sam has been stellar at keeping the family positive all this time. However, she had some PET scans that have shown the cancer has spread to several more organs. Shanna’s bucket list includes some sights here in California. These last scans were done recently and with the results they decided to visit California now rather than later.I just started watching this guy, he’s awesome.
What’s the backstory?
