IF Starlink gets direct to cellular up and functioning like they are talking about with this new generation of satellites they could move from AT&T to Starlink. For them it would be a big win as the connectivity would be almost anywhere and I'm sure a pricing between Tesla and SpaceX would be beneficial to both companies.
That would be the dream. If I remember correctly, they had some kind of deal with T-Mobile.

Only for iPhones >: [
I have an iphone and an android on my T-Mobile plan and only the iphone has it. They stated modern devices but my android is a fairly high end 2024 unit so thats not really the case. Right now it is only for calling and txting. He hasn't really had a chance to do much testing with it yet.

Any thoughts on Weboost? Anyone install one on their CT? Just ordered my Starlink mini but was also going to get the overland version of Weboost.
Well, the starlink mini has a cost for it but you can suspend the service and not pay a dime. Also they have the 10 and 50 plan, so either one is reasonably priced.

I have my mini dishy mounted on that vast dashboard at an angle that doesn't obstruct my view, and the reflection of the dish on the windshield is acceptable.

I have it on the 50 plan and this works well as the area where I live has shit cell reception.

My problem is that if I leave home, the shit cell reception will often get me in trouble at work, in case I'm on a teams call or they try to call me, and the connection drops, they get all nosy about why I'm leaving my computer, like, I'm gonna get my job done, so butt out of my burger run, damn it.

But anyway I figure I'm no gonna give them any backtalk, they pay me, so I'll do my job, the 50 plan on my dishy prevents any issues and we're all carrying on like I'm sitting in front of my computer.

Sucks they give you hard time. I feel like it shouldn’t matter if the work gets done.

That's the problem. I get work done pronto and then try to have fun. But now they're all used to it, so instead of going through proper channels, people call me directly because I get things done, and they don't seem to care if it's lunch time or whatever, it's just that if I have issues because I've stepped away, they complain. And it's all low level crap that some other offshore tech should handle, but my customers prefer to talk to me and boy that's a job unto itself.

Sounds like it’s time for a promotion.
