I've installed the Starlink front bumper light bar from Teslaunch in the Halo Cybertruck and created an article and installation video that can be found here:

this light bar thing is the poster child of our 'drop ship sellers all pushing the same garbage' epidemic
Do not feed these sellers

Hey Ken I finally got mine in and installed yesterday. Woke up to a good ol error this morning. Any experience with it?

The product provider needs to provide you with a revised harness for interconnection with your truck. This is a common error message caused by the provided harness interfering with the CT’s native wiring.

Why do they insist on using such confusing marketing terminology? They could have named this thing anything other than “Starlink.”
I have an electrochromic glass top with a plaid light and fiber optic stars installed in my truck, two completely separate projects/products but guess what Tesstudio calls the glass roof part?
a “starry sky” roof.
Hella confusing.

Naming this chinesium trinket "Starlink" is the final nail in the coffin allowing me to decide to write off Teslaunch as a vendor I am not willing to do business with.

I concur it looks as if you received the older wiring harness that can cause this problem. I have not had this problem at all with the newer version installed in my truck.

Thank you. I am always happy to test so that others can decide whether they want to go with a particular modification or not. Speaking of modifications for your starry sky modification? Did it include both the patterns on the glass as well as the fiber optics around the edge? Or were those two separate modifications?

Exactly. Confusing even for you who is a seasoned reviewer and tester and knows all the ins and outs of what is out there in the aftermarket.
The fiber optics in mine have absolutely nothing to do with that glass roof piece but the term”starry sky” is intentionally chosen to confuse people into buying it. They even used video of my specific car with both installed in the marketing material which I should never have agreed to. I honestly didn’t understand the motivation at the time though.

I mean, “Starlink?” Wtf?
It’s like if Kia made one of their model names the Kia Porsche. Zero chance trademark infringement laws affect them in Yangzhou though right?

Those sons of a gun. I’ll send them a strongly worded email. Thanks!

So I have read these make the frunk a pain in the ass to open with the handle. It’s already kind if a pain in mine. Is it a lot worse? Is there a reliable way to still find the button and depress it?

I was afraid when I read this, but I have zero problem opening mine. Not sure what all the commotion was about

Glad to hear that. Is the cheaper Amazon version the one that makes the hiss? Because they look basically identical.

Also, anyone know if this would be a problem to install alongside the little frunk panel with the light up Cybertruck logo?
