Tailgate fascia steel loose in center

Anyone else experiencing this as the middle of my steel panel on tailgate is loose and doesn’t appear to be attached. Seems to be on outsides but in center it’s definitely not fastened.

I just noticed that on mine too actually. I was wiping it down and it was really bouncy in the center. On the fence about scheduling service just for that, but if something else comes up I’ll definitely have them take a look at it. It looks fine visually.

Yeap can barely notice it unless I put pressure on middle. Was gonna get mine wrapped so hopefully that doesn’t cause an issue with warranty

Is your CT an early build? I have cleaned mine vin 27xxxx on several occasions and feels solid.

I would put in a ticket for SC to look at….not a good place to have that issue. I wonder if adhesive holds the middle part in place.

Got a new tailgate today on my 25 awd. They are still coming out loose

I had mine replaced 10 days after I bought it. You know you have the problem if you try and clean the back panel with a cloth. It wobbles Unfortunately I had just put on the OEM Tesla branded tailgate and bumper protection now I have to figure out how to get a refund for that because once they replace the tailgate, I lost the protective covering. Also, the alignment is a bit off on the tailgate now. But I’m so tired of the service centers and being away from my cyber truck,that I’m just gonna live with it.

it sounded so ghetto whenever I closed it lol didn’t realize it was an issue till I read this thread and sure enough it wasn’t normal ?

It happened to me. I took it in twice. On the second go around they replaced the whole tailgate.

So far, it’s perfect. It’s been on the truck for a couple weeks now.

My truck was bought back due to this issue on all the panels and yea so far they have new part numbers for the fenders, front lower, quarter panels and the cantrails but nothing for the tailgate so maybe on the new ones they just replaced the glue with a better glue? I am waiting to order my new one until I know for sure the new one will have all new parts!

Could you post a screenshots of service center replies regarding your issues with unglued panels?
