I was a bit perturbed that if I want the hot rod version it will cost me almost 100 grand.
Will I settle for the mid-range at just under 80K and get the tax credit?
Maybe.
This will be the last vehicle I ever buy so I'm going to get what I want even if I have to eat Raman noodle a few times a week. At least we raise our own meat and eggs.
If Tesla stock is 500 a share by the time mine is built (2024 or 25 depending on how fast they build them) I can sell mine and pay cash or pay the payment down to a reasonable amount.
Or once production scales up maybe the price will drop.
I was in the Army for 34 years. If I'm good at anything it is "hurry up and wait".
