The craziest FSD maneuver yet

So I was meeting up with some friends from Calif. who hadn't been in a Cybertruck and showing off the FSD driving through Eugene. We were heading straight down a main avenue with the map showing our next turn to be straight ahead in about 2 miles. The truck suddenly put on the right turn signal to turn on a side residential street so I just let it turn to see what it was up to. I thought it was changing the route at first but the blue line on the map course stayed the same. In about 100 feet it turned right again in an alleyway driving past some guys hanging out in their garage giving us some bewildered looks. Another right turn and one more right turn put us back on the avenue. It continued past the first road (without turning this time) and took us to our destination just fine after that. Is this a new "touring" mode or is this a test for robotaxis to add mileage to the ticker... ¯\(ツ)/¯

Last weekend I was taking a rural highway at night, in a construction zone no less. The ordinarily narrow and rough shoulder was lined with safety cones.

Out of the blue, FSD signals and starts slowing down to turn… but there is nowhere to turn. We rapidly come to a stop, half on the shoulder, between two cones. “Da faq??!?”

While I’m still trying to figure out wtf is going on, two troopers with full party lights go zipping past. I hadn’t even seen them, but FSD sure as hell did.

Fortunately I was not the one getting pulled over hahahaha

Happened to us as well. Coming around a blind corner towards us, the truck suddenly pulled over before we saw the lights of an emergency vehicle (I think it was Fire dept). It also saw someone in dark clothing walking along side an unlit highway and moved around him in a very natural way. Those moves were impressive though I'm still baffled by our little detour.

My Model Y did this today. Ignored the Nav and took a different highway exit then went a back way. I wasn't mad since I sometimes go that way anyways. Never seen it change the route so much before.
