Timeframe rematching after declining delivery?

Well, worst case scenario for picking up the truck happened. I fly home to get it, and there is a service error while I am getting it about the airbags/restraint system failing.

They decided it was best for me to decline delivery as it could be a month-plus.

Anyone have any experience on how long to get a new VIN? They said they would do what they could..

Could be very quick because they will likely put you next in line.
I had a different issue where I could not pick up my truck within the timeframe because I was traveling and they released it to someone else. Once I got back and told them I was ready I got a vin within a few days and car very shortly after.

My guess it it will depend upon any unclaimed VINs in your area or when the next batch will be produced for your region.

I had similar issue, didn’t pick it up, put back in system on August 20th, still waiting on a vin.

If the truck is in an undeliverable condition you should not have to decline, the SC should have unassigned it from you and reassigned you to another VIN, all before delivery.
