So they will repair curb rash? Now it’s starting to get interesting.

That seems to only be for tires. Telsa is also covering wheels. unless I am missing something here?
Yeah, Discount Tire coverage is only focused on tires.

Small window of coverage, IMO, only down to 4/32. Typical nail repairs cost less than the $25 deductible at tire places. So this really only holds value of the tire has to be replaced within the limited coverage window. Plus have to start within 30 days of purchase. It's a roll of the dice. I'll take my chances.
Just got a screw in my tire and SC tells me they dont repair CT tires. Their only option is to replace the tire. FFS

Well that might actually make the plan better value. Lol

The screw was near the edge of the tire so I already knew they'd have to replace it.

But to your point, yes, I see the value and I would purchase the plan if it were available to me. Too bad its only for purchases that are considered "new".

I've also always had bad luck with tire repairs.

If it is close to the tire wall, then it is probably unrepairable. I had 2 tire get punctured by sharp rocks on a dirt road. Tesla service said the same thing, that they do not do repairs on CT tires. However, they did say that are working on a patch repair process. Anyway, I took it to Walmart and to my surprise, they were able to patch both tires. I added some Slime to the tire after repair, just to be safe, and the repaired tires are working great.

I have the Pirelli tires, which I will never buy again. They can't even withstand a dirt road.

That's why I prefer the OEM All-Terrains, they have substantially more toughness built into them. The All-Terrain tires Tesla sells for winter use are even tougher (but you give up a significant amount of on-road goodness).

It's counter-intuitive, but higher pressures typically lead to less punctures. A tire is not like a balloon, it has fabric reinforcements inside that are stronger when fully inflated. I've known a number of people who always had an inordinate number of flat tires and it became apparent to me what was going on. They all ran their air pressures on the soft side. They thought that made them more puncture resistant. Some said they ran lower pressures because they liked a "cushy" ride. 🤪

I'm kinda interested in this. However doesn't look like I even have the option in the app. Who is seeing this in theirs? (Especially FS owners?)

So this is not an option under my service tab. Under the “upgrades and accessories” I had to select ”other” and just typed I wand the complimentary inspection. I have my inspection this Friday. They said you have to have at least 75% of the tread left and no damage. Fingers crossed
