Transporting mountain bike with cybertent

Has anyone transported bikes with the cybertent installed? What worked well for you? I’m getting back into mountain biking and before I pickup the bike, I’m curious if I need to remove the tent or not. Also, any issues transporting multiple bikes with the tent for the family’s bikes as well.

The tent when closed will take up 2-3 feet and will sit on the L-tracks. The bed is 6ft with the tailgate closed, so.. that’s all the remaining room left.

I bought the Kuat swing hinge so that I could swing the bike rack out of the way whenever the tent needed to be opened up and the tailgate needed to be down

Yes. I have two mountain bikes (Specialized Stumpjumper EVO) in the vault along with the CyberTent. No issues and works great! I have the Tesla tailgate pad to protect bikes and Cybertruck. With bikes angled to rear vault corner, camera is happy so FSD is happy.

It also takes 2 min to remove the tent just 2 bolts .

Really?! I thought it was a lot more involved. Can it be done with one person? I’d love to get my truck bed space back.

I ended up going with this pad per another forum post I saw. I like how it’s quick to put on and take off.

Yes. From a basic strap system attached to garage rafters or something more elaborate, easy to suspend the tent for storage and drive away

Yes just 2 bolts . Then can easily lift off . I was suprised it was only 2 bolts

That was stupid easy. I can’t believe I thought it was so hard. I just power lifted it out myself and set it in storage. Easy peasy. Thanks for the help guys!
