I order a bunch of cybertruck aftermarket products from @Unpluggedperformance between September 2024 and January 2025. I gave a 50% deposit on these orders and was told everything would be 4-6 months.

As of today (Mid June 2025), I have only received the rear bumper - which came with a smashed component that took 3 months and about 10 emails (I initiated) to receive the replacement piece.

About a month ago they shipped rock sliders to the wrong address than I asked them to and FedEx after making 1 delivery attempt decided to return the delivery to them. UP received these over 2 weeks ago and have yet to reship them to me or communicate what is going on.

The customer service from UP has been basically non-existent for the last few months. Seems just like another “we’re happy to take your interest free loan” companies that is poorly run.

Anyone else having issues with UP? I’m assuming customers like Joe Rogan are treated a little better than I have been from UP. At this point, I can’t say I would ever consider buying anything else from UP - like for an upcoming Model S plaid I will be ordering by the end of the year.

I would recommend to anyone not willing to give a company an interest free loan and maybe wait for up to a year, to stay away from UP.

After canceling my Martian cybertruck wheels, I ordered wheels from UP. The sales rep even told me waiting 3+ months for bead locks was crazy when I changed the order to UP. Funny enough, after paying in full for the UP wheel order, they took over 3 months to receive.

Your issues need to be addressed. Your frustration is valid and reasonable. That said, I’ve had positive customer service from UP. They are a small group/company but I’d bet if raised again they’ll address the issues they’ve caused. At least that would be my expectation based on my personal experience with them.

I ordered the top roof rack bar and light bar, they were very up front with me saying it could take a month or 2. I paid 1/2 up front, they came back in like 6 weeks and had it and shipped it. Customer service was great, I had a very positive experience with UP, I would use them again.

The installation was fairly straightforward (other than a waaaaay longer cable then what is needed), I am super happy with the results/product.

Sorry you had so many troubles ... that stinks.

My issues had been addressed multiple times. They knew I wasn’t happy with them in May yet they continue to give me zero customer service addressing their mistakes. The first few months after I ordered everything there was communication from UP. For the last 4 months, even when I email them, it takes them a week+ to respond. I was told up front my order would take 4-6 months. That’s coming up on 10 months ago and I have to pull teeth to get a response from them regarding anything.

I’ll give them it wasn’t their fault FedEx for some reason only made 1 delivery attempt for my rock sliders (however if UP shipped them to the proper address I asked them to that would not have been an issue), but they received them back at the UP warehouse over 2 weeks ago. I was told they would inspect the rock sliders and get them right back out to me. There is no way that takes over 2 weeks, especially when they made a mistake in the first place. Now, if for some reason rock sliders were damaged on the return to them, I would have expected UP to inform me there was a problem with them but only crickets from UP.

When you order tens of thousands of dollars from a company, you expect a little more from them. They have now lost tens of thousands of dollars of future orders and I expect I will be cancelling my current orders with them by the end of the month and asking for my interest free loan to be refunded.

I'd say your experience resonates with about 90% of everyone I have seen post on this forum. At this point I can only conclude that they only care about large contracts.

In the past I have simply performed chargebacks on companies that play games with me. Business processes tend to quickly change when enough people start doing that.

Yeah, their shipping timelines, customer service, and email responses are horrendous. Cancelled my orders. Maybe when they get their S$&t together and stop relying on customer deposits to manufacture, I may give them another chance. But as of right now it’s a NO GO from me.

Let me re-phrase, these issues should be or should have been addressed by UP, not you.

I have had a similar issue with Unplugged Performance. I purchased he exterior Molle Panels, the Carbon Fiber Hood & the Front Bull Bar back in January. As of today I only received the exterior Molle Panels (and I did buy the roof crossbars after the fact and those were shipped to me as well).

My first complaint was the Molle Panels had powder coating chips all over it. I counted over 25 areas where the powder coating had come off already or was lifted and flaking off. I contacted UP immediately along with a quick video I took before install and up close pictures after install. This was about 2 months ago and I am still arguing with them. They wanted to send me touch up paint, but are still trying to figure out what paint works best to cover up their blemishes. Now I have numerous spots on my Molle Panels that are rusting. About 2 days ago I was emailing them again and trying to have them put themselves in my shoes and it seemed to work as they offered to send me a new set of Molle Panels. I will state that my roof crossbars I bought from them were nearly flawless, so that is why I think it was just a bad batch or a quality control issue.

I will state that the roof rack/crossbars look great and give the truck an aggressive look, the top most crossbar causes MAJOR wind noise and is a pretty big drag on air so my efficiency has taken a 15% hit. The 15% hit sucks, but it is what it is. I messaged UP about the insanely loud noise (sounded like a crotchrocket was in my tailgate) and they said "roof rack and crossbars always make more noise and it was normal". I asked if they were thinking of making a wind deflector (they are not) or if the lighter would help with the noise (which art doesn't). I watched a bunch or YouTube videos of others having issues with roof racks/crossbars on other vehicles and I came across people wrapping rope around their crossbar and that working. So, I tried it and it actually does work. Cost my $10 at Lowes. I will be making a video about it shortly and posting it on my YouTube channel (Z3ROTESLA) if anyone else wants to have a cheap fix for the issue.

I recently also cancelled the rest of my order with UP because they still have no clue when the carbon fiber hood would be shipped and the same with the bull bar. If I decide to buy from UP again I will make sure the items are in stock.

It sucks because the UP Invisible lineup looks sick. I just think that they made up these products and didn't test them first before posting them to the public. I hope they do get better because the products do look badass.

Recently, one of our most valued Cybertruck customers persistently requested the installation of Unplugged carbon fiber fenders. Despite our efforts to accommodate their request, we ultimately decided to assist them on a Saturday.

The carbon fender overlays, which were designed with large exaggerated 4. x 4 twill patterns, exhibited a visually unappealing appearance due to an uneven patterns around radius areas. We had to apply 3M double-sided tape to the underside of the fenders and utilized a grinder to ensure a proper fit, as the back wheel panels required approximately 1/4 inch of carbon fiber to be ground off to achieve the desired alignment.

It is concerning that Ben Schaffer, the President of the company, may not be adequately aware of these customer complaints. As the minority owner, he is subject to the controlling interest of his Japanese partner. Nevertheless, numerous customers have resorted to requesting refunds for their purchases, but it is important to note that refunds are typically not possible after 90 days. This practice is prevalent among Chinese vendors on this platform, such as Hansshow and their three other aliases.

Therefore, it is crucial for buyers to exercise caution when dealing with long lead times and to be vigilant if a product does not fit as expected. If a vendor attempts to contact you personally to resolve the issue, it is advisable to charge the purchase back.
