I happen to be parking my CT in a gravel area. It would be helpful if I could use Vision Park Assist to park*, but I do not want to paint lines on my gravel. Not really the rustic look I am going for.
I’ve thought about experimenting with a limited number of small white rocks, and seeing if they might be enough to get Park Assist to recognize the area where I want to park.
Does anyone have any suggestions for making an area obvious to park assist, without making it ugly?
*Near my charger. And also leaving room for another car.

Don’t think rocks would work. I think you need flat lines that have uniformity. It won’t look rustic.

Could you do maybe like small trees bushed or some plants ? I guess if lines were still required atleast the plants or what ever would hide them a bit

Appreciate all the thoughts. I’ll keep thinking. The area is a bit limited in space, so no room to add much.
Too bad there isn’t the ability to park like I want, and then tell the CT “park here always” something like that that could be added to vision assist

Think @Coagulation is on to something; how about anchored thick white ropes outlining a spot?

I'm not sure if that would be distinct enough for Vision to flag it as a spot, but I think it would still feel more rustic than some white gravel.

I appreciate all the ideas. I’ll probably try some tomorrow. We get a lot of snow and that area has to be cleared, so it will have to be something that can withstand some abuse.
But might experiment with the rope idea or small boards, just to see what the system needs.

We have one as a backstop to the parking area I am talking about. The one is set into the ground almost flush with the gravel. Does your parking area incorporate RR ties? And are they set into the ground deep or?
