My friend just got an email for the foundation series. If he does not want to get the FS and wants to get the normal one, does he simply ignore the email?

Yes, that's what to do.

The invite is to configure, and as additional options and configurations are released, they will be added to the configurator.

If Tesla follows their prior pattern, we just have to wait until the options we want are added to the configurator. As an example, as the grey and core options were added, we who are waiting could see them added in our configurator.

I’m in the same boat, thanks for answering his question. I might jump on the FS, but have to look at my budget for fun money to justify the extra cost.
