Why Aren’t There Mobile App Sentry Notifications?

I’m new to having a vehicle with sentry (my 2016 model S didn’t have it) and I was wondering why the Tesla app doesn’t notify me if there’s a security alert? As an example, it’d be nice to get a notification that someone was tampering with or vandalizing my truck as it occurs, rather than seeing notifications hours later when you get back in the truck.

Tesla doesn’t support it that it’s true. But there is a third party app called Sentry Pro that sends you notifications. I have been using it for a couple of months now and it works very nicely for me.

Sentry does send alerts, but only if something sets off the alarm, so not for basic sentry events like when someone walks by the vehicle. The alarm sounds if a locked door is opened without a valid entry key or if the vehicle is jacked up or tilted.

I get them randomly. If you go into the app then to Security & Drivers, the second option is Sentry Mode Recording Previews. I just deleted them, but I had 2 in there. Neither were alarms, not sure the logic where it send them to my phone.
