I imagine the FSD brain going through those slow-mo quick time events like in video games.

It has gotten better at avoiding road debris, unfortunately it will swerve like crazy to avoid tire marks on the road too.
Do you like rollercoasters? I've had a couple of tiremark swerve moments that were pretty fun 😅

Same experience on 14.2.x. FSD did a really good job avoiding tire debris from an exploded truck tire/retread carcass.

Night driving on a gravel county road, FSD was going bonkers avoiding kamikaze rabbits. All critters lived thanks to FSD either slowing or steering to avoid the rabbits. FSD 14.3.2 installed and looking forward to next road trip!

Yeah, not to mention the "shaved asphalt" swerves too...🛣

In the past I recall fsd being scared of swere marks and bright lanes from sun, but I feel its gotten better. Not perfect but better lol

They are fun if your heads up and paying attention, if your letting FSD FSD and not 100% it can be a little jarring.

My CT dodged a piece of paper fluttering across the freeway, almost full barrel roll(exaggeration). lol was a little excessive
Yea for object detection it still has a LONG way to go.

Plastic bag blowing in the wind? = Avoid it like it is a concrete culvert

Semi tire in the road? = Plow through it like it is a puff of exhaust (destroying two mud flaps on CT)

My CT swerved yesterday and I had to look in the mirror as I saw no reason for it to swerve...There were no potholes, asphalt snakes or tire marks. Nothing. Might have been a shadow from a tree but I didn't see that either.

Have they fixed the “launch” from a complete stop? It’s always felt like my CT “launches” after a complete stop on FSD. Like it’s always trying to be the first one off the line no matter which profile I use. (Concerned about excessive tire wear.)
My 17MS (FSD 12.6.4) doesn’t launch, it just goes.
Anyone else notice this?

I like the fact that it doesn't pussyfoot around, after pussyfooting around coming to the complete stop required by NHTSA! The recent update does help mitigate the dumb NHTSA stop a little by speeding it up, and then the faster takeoff is welcome too.

I wouldn't worry about faster tire wear, the takeoff is well below breaking traction in most pavement conditions. It does take off with a nice authority though, leaving other drivers at the intersection no doubt who is going next. It's very assertive and I like that.
