Fun weekend project with Tmat x Toughbuilt!

if you dont already know, tmat is a great product. makes organizing things in the bed quite easy. great company too - they will help with fitment issues if you have any. (the FS bed has slightly different dimensions than the non FS bed).

out of the box, you can create a tmat system that allows access to the under bed trunk.

their wheel chock accessory fits both milwaukee and toughbuilt wheeled storage boxes. I went with toughbuilt because its cheaper and looks cooler lol.

using single tight fit adapters from tmat, and toughbuilt mounting plates from etsy, I made a mounting plate that locks down my toughbuilt cases (so no blockers needed), aaaannnnd links the front and back tmat so that it functions as a single piece:

Are the Tmat single fit adapters what enable the flex point so that you can open the smuggler’s bay without the Tmat separating?

Or, rather, do you have your Tmat in 2 separate pieces and it is your mounting plate that you made that is holding the 2 sections of Tmat together?

Yeah. Not sure I fully follow how the front and rear mats connect. I just recently shortened my tmat to end behind the hinge but would love to know how you did this.

This would be a great product for cyber truck so you don’t have to jump up to get your cartons. Would need a trap door for the under space though.

correct. the platform that I made is what is linking the two. without the platform, the tmat is in two pieces - one that just covers the smugglers bay and one that fills the rest of the bed.

the gap between the two is made clean by using the ramp/handle accessory that tmat makes: https://www.tmat.com/products/tmat-ramp-kit

I have two of those ramp kits - one at the tailgate edge of the smugglers bay tmat, and another at the hinge edge of the rear bed tmat.

I have videos of me pulling the tmat with and without the platform on, but they wont load!

tmat does this with no direct mods to the truck (and for 1/3rd the price!), and it allows for smugglers bay access:

I think its one of those “it depends” things. if you did things to get dust in the bed, and you were truly work trucking your ct, and constantly pulling tmat loaded with fully loaded packout boxes in and out, it would probably scratch it. but for my use, no scratching.

Looks neat, except for the lost headroom. Which the Cybertruck has alot of, honestly.

the wall between my bed and my cab has
ribs. FS CTs dont. so in order to get my tmats to line up at the smuggler bay hinge, I have to start at the cab wall with 4 single row filler tmats, which the company sent me for free. I also need a single row of filler on one side to make the width so I guess the non FS bed is slightly shorter and slightly wider.

FS CTs can start at the cab wall with a full panel, and just full panels side to side.
